Next Stage for Mesh News Project brand.

We have a new logo for the Mesh News Project!

We tried different strategies when creating our new branding:

• We tried to 100% make it using AI ( not recommended, needed guidance like a MFr).
• We tried to play on the fact we’re a decentralized news network, playing on “decentralized” themes…our renders up looking like a tech company logo
• Then we tried going super patriotic…it ended up looking like a news network logo for “people really into coloring books.”

Finally we discovered what we really wanted was a logo that was understated, humble, and timeless.

Writer, E.E. Cummings, displayed humbleness through only using under case letters, so we borrowed from that. We incorporated that we are fighting profit based news networks, so we embedded a hidden “fight the power” fist hidden in the negative space of the center arch (a nod to the fact we are Independents in the “middle” of the road on politics), – and the period at the end of the logo standing for “project.”

We have changed our orange to a new color HEX code, to #FD5100, which we are calling Atomic Orange.

It’s a evolution to our brand that we are really excited about.
